The Western Sydney Airport Co Limited (WSA Co) is the government business enterprise tasked with building and operating Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. WSA Co is responsible for the project from its greenfield development through to the commercial and operational elements of the airport.
WSA Co’s Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework was established in 2017 and considers the need for the business to be flexible and able to adapt to the changing nature of the project.
WSA Co’s approach to risk management is not only focused on embedding risk management into the organisation but also across the operations of their contracted suppliers. In doing so, they have demonstrated how shared risk can be managed effectively with many parties.
