Updated Guidance on Economic Benefits and Further Advice

The Australian Government has recently released Updated Guidance on Economic Benefits for use within the Commonwealth procurement framework. The Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) place a requirement on officials to consider the economic benefit of a procurement to the Australian economy in the context of determining value for money for higher value procurements.

The Guidance on the Consideration of Economic Benefits in Procurement has been updated to reflect feedback received as part of the public consultation process. It is intended to assist procuring officials and suppliers with understanding how to incorporate economic benefits consideration into their procurement activities.
