Governance and Executive Search Panel

The Services offered by panel members under the Deed of Standing Offer are governance and/or executive search services, with a specific focus on board reviews and appointments. This panel is due to expire on 28 February 2024.This Panel has been divided into two categories:

• The Governance category focuses on board governance reviews, including evaluating overall performance, reviewing internal procedures and processes, analysing the strategic directions and objectives, determining adherence to corporate governance best practice standards and relevant policies and procedures, and consideration of the appropriate skills mix required of for the Board going forward.
• The Executive Search Services category includes identifying the capability, skills and experience required for a specific board, committee or entity (noting this may be at the executive or board level), identifying suitable candidates and undertaking referee and background checks.

Please note that although this panel remains active, some services have transitioned to the Management Advisory Services Panel (SON3751667).

Finance advises that all services pertaining to Board Governance Services should now be sourced from the Management Advisory Services Panel. For more information on the Management Advisory Services Panel, please contact MASPanel@finance.gov.au.

Please note, that while the Governance and Executive Search Panel remains active, some services may also transition to the People Panel. Finance will advise of changes as these arise.  

Joining the Arrangement

All Commonwealth Non-Corporate Entities and Commonwealth Corporate Entities (like GBEs) have access to the Governance and Executive Search Panel.

Accessing the Panel

• Register through the Dynamic Sourcing for Panels (DS4P) system on AusTender to access available panels, if you cannot access the system for the Finance Governance and Executive Search Services Panel, please let GovernancePanel@finance.gov.au know and we can look to alternative arrangements. 
• A Notice of Inclusion to the Service Provider will need to be completed between the Service Provider and your agency (Schedule 4 of the Deed of Standing Offer).
• Upon the Service Provider's receipt of a Notice of Inclusion, a separate Deed of Standing Offer is deemed to be created between the Service Provider and your agency. We request a copy of the completed Notice of Inclusion is provided to GovernancePanel@finance.gov.au.
• It is recommended that Confidentiality and Privacy Undertaking agreement is finalised between the Service Provider and your agency.
• Once the above steps are completed, you are able to progress your normal procurement processes including requesting a Request for Quote directly from the Service Provider/s and then progress to finalise an Official Order with the selected Service Provider. This is a matter between your agency and the Service Provider - the Department of Finance does not need to be involved in this process.
