Statement and data sources

The statement to be tabled by the Minister for Finance will be generated from information held in AusTender covering details (a) to (h). Entities will be asked to confirm the accuracy of the information.

Should an entity wish to update the information in the statement, the entity will be required to update this information through AusTender within 5 business days of receiving Finance’s request.

Entities are responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data they publish and report on AusTender. This data should provide a clear description of the contract. Entities should refer to the ‘Quality Assurance’ section in RMG-423 Procurement Publishing and Reporting Obligations for further guidance.

Data sources

Information on the number of notifications against the Code (i) will be manually tracked by the entity and provided to Finance upon request. The following information outlines the details of the report, relevant AusTender field and where the data is sourced from.

a. AusTender contract notice identification number

The total $ value of the contract, excluding contract extensions or options not exercised. This value is in Australian dollars, including GST where applicable.

The most appropriate category associated with entities' tender for the goods or services to be delivered.

d. Duration

<Duration>
Period between the Start Date and End Date of the contract.

Total number of notifications against the Code since the date the contract was entered into.

This will include notifications:

  • that have been received but have not yet been reviewed
  • currently under investigation
  • that have been investigated and found to require no further action
  • that have been investigated and found to be breaches of the Code which may result in remedies or contract terminations.

Notifications related to the same matter should be documented as a single notification for this reporting. Details of the notification are not required.

This notification does not include notification of significant events arising from the Notification of Significant Event contract clauses.
