Climate disclosure requirements for year 1 published

Date
Commonwealth climate disclosure

Commonwealth Climate Disclosure (CCD) is the Government’s policy for Commonwealth entities and Commonwealth companies to publicly report on their exposure to climate risks and opportunities, as well as their actions to manage them.

This policy ensures entities are prepared for, and responsive to, the changing climate.

Following a Pilot in FY2023-24, where certain entities reported on a limited range of climate risk management activities, the full Year 1 Requirements are now available.

The Year 1 Requirements outline what should be included in a disclosure published in an entity’s first year of participating in the full Commonwealth Climate Disclosure policy.

If you would like more information on the CCD policy and the Year 1 Requirements, please visit the CCD webpage. If you would like more information about your entity’s obligations or opting into Tranche 1, please email climateaction@finance.gov.au.
