Sourcing Strategy Overview
The Digital Records Transformation Initiative (the Initiative) was focused on supporting the development of modernised digital records and information capability across Australian Government non-corporate Commonwealth entities.
Market Update
The DTA applied the Initiative’s Sourcing Strategy Process to approach the open market for an innovative, end user focused records management solution. The DTA sought an “as-a-service” record management solution that could automatically capture and classify records from multiple sources, including SharePoint Online and Microsoft Exchange, into a single searchable asset with minimal user input.
The Initiative is pleased to confirm that the Approach to Market is now finalised and the DTA has announced its purchase of RecordPoint’s Records365 product.
Features of the solution included:
- The ability to manage information in place, expand connected sources over time, and natural language processing.
- Advanced automation techniques that perform classification without requiring additional user effort to reduce the burden of change while adding significant records findability, discoverability and governance capability.
