The Department of Finance (Finance) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Australia have agreed that PwC Australia will not bid for any new Commonwealth work until 30 June 2025.
On 19 November 2024, Finance published a new Procurement Policy Note outlining this advice. The agreement extends the approach previously agreed in April 2024.
The extension provides PwC Australia with additional time to implement the recommendations of the Independent Review of Governance, Culture and Accountability and for current investigations and inquiries to be progressed.
Under this agreement, Commonwealth officials should not be entering into any contracts with PwC Australia for any approaches to market which close before 30 June 2025.
At the conclusion of the agreement period, Finance will provide an update to entities on the status of the cessation.
