Changes to the PGPA Flipchart and List - 1 November 2023
A new Flipchart and List of PGPA Act Commonwealth entities and companies was issued on 1 November 2023.
Both the Flipchart and the List have been updated to reflect the recent changes to current Commonwealth entities and companies for the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act):
National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation renamed Housing Australia
From 12 October 2023, the entity formerly known as the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation is now Housing Australia, as provided in the Treasury Laws Amendment (Housing Measures No. 1) Act 2023.
Office of the Inspector-General of Aged Care – Added
The Office of the Inspector-General of Aged Care is a new non-corporate Commonwealth entity (NCE) in the Health and Aged Care portfolio, established by the Inspector-General of Aged Care Act 2023 on 16 October 2023.

Publishing Annual Reports on the Transparency Portal
Entities are reminded that annual reports are to be published to the Transparency Portal as soon as practicable after tabling in the Parliament. There are new tools for authoring in use this year and entities are encouraged to reach out to dar@finance.gov.au where assistance is required.
To support users, there is an overview video posted on the GovTEAMS annual reports channel that provides a 20 minute introduction to the tool. In addition, there is thorough online guidance material available on the Transparency Portal by accessing the following: Digital Annual Reporting Tool (DART) training.
Entities that are close to completing their annual reports on the Transparency Portal are reminded of the pre-publishing validation check that will automatically point out any issues that will prevent publishing. Please refer to 8.2 Pre-Publishing Validation & Final Workflow Steps to Publish an Annual Report for instructions on how to activate this check.

Legal Community of Practice Thursday 30 Nov 2023 - Registrations open
The Legal Community of Practice (LCoP) will be held at 9:15am on Thursday, 30 November 2023. We invite all Comcover legal stakeholders to an education and networking forum, with presentations on claim case studies and emerging areas of legal risk. Attendees with legal qualifications can claim CPD points from two presentations delivered by legal service providers.
As the LCoP only occurs twice a year, don’t miss your last opportunity to attend this event for 2023. The session will be hosted onsite at Finance’s offices, One Canberra Ave, and streamed online. To register please email legalcop@finance.gov.au.
