Finance is seeking to provide advice to industry on a requirement to replace the current COMCAR management system.
In late December 2017, the Government agreed to replace the COMCAR booking and dispatch system with a Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud-based solution.
The core capabilities of such a solution are outlined as per the attached:

To begin this process Finance is conducting a COMCAR Automated Resource system (CARS) Industry Briefing on Thursday 22 February 2018 from 10.00am to 11:00am where we'll provide further information on a Request for Proposal (RFP).
Finance has also announced this on AusTender (FIN/006/18/Notice)

The Industry Briefing will also be available to view online live via web-cast.
