Trusted. Innovative. Community-led.

Built by government, for government, the GovCMS content management system originated from a belief that we could change things for the better.

What started small in 2015 has grown into a community-led platform with more than 114 member agencies from all tiers of government. GovCMS now hosts 369 live websites with many more in the pipeline.

A Meetup event in Canberra last week celebrated the 10th anniversary of GovCMS and included presentations from Defence about the Defence Web Policy and Guidelines, from Services Australia with ‘Putting People First’ and from Finance about the ‘GovCMS website uplift to the Civic Theme Design System project’.

A community panel about GovCMS over the years highlighted the good, the bad and the uncanny, where 3 panellists shared their experience working with GovCMS and explored the opportunities for the future.

The celebration also included a series of online events such as Content as an API, FUNdamentals website accessibility and security, and Drupal 11 information session.

Happy 10th anniversary GovCMS!
