Comcover

Comcover, the Australian Government's self-managed insurance fund, has been providing insurance and risk management services to Australian Government entities that are classified to the General Government Sector (Fund Members) since 1998.

Comcover ensures that Fund Members have a comprehensive program of cover for insurable risks. Comcover helps integrate risk management into government functions and operations by providing comprehensive and responsive risk management and insurance services to our Fund Members.

Comcover works in partnership with Fund Members to promote a positive risk management culture across the Australian Government to support the efficient and effective delivery of programs and services.

Comcover currently provides services to 168 Fund Members that have a broad range of responsibilities and functions.

Comcover does not offer cover nor issue premium invoices to private organisations or individuals.

This website provides Fund Members with details and access to Comcover's full range of services as well as information on insurance and risk management.

Claims Management

Comcover's claims management services ensure that a co-ordinated and uniform approach is taken to the management of claims against the Australian Government.

Insurance

Comcover facilitates a comprehensive and consistent whole-of-government approach to protecting Commonwealth assets by building risk management capability through effective data collection and claims management.

Education

The Comcover Education Program consists of four learning pathways designed to increase risk management capability across the Commonwealth.

Risk Management Services

A key function of Comcover is to assist entities to build their capability to manage risk across the Australian Government.

Comcover Dispute Resolution

You must notify Comcover of the nature and circumstances of the dispute and your expectations for resolution of the dispute in writing.
