Property and Construction Division
Property and Construction Division (PCD) manages major capital works projects on behalf of the Australian Government and individual government departments and agencies. PCD also manages a non-Defence portfolio of properties comprising offices, land and other properties. In addition PCD oversees the Commonwealth Property Management Framework which includes legislation and policy for the management of property leased or owned by the Commonwealth, including acquisition, disposal and management of property interests.
Property Portfolio Branch has responsibilities for:
Project Inception Branch is responsible for the inception (planning) phase of domestic non-Defence major capital works projects.
Project Delivery Branch is responsible for the construction and delivery of domestic non-Defence major capital works projects following completion of the Public Works Committee processes.
Property Framework Branch is responsible for the development and administration of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework (Property Framework) including the associated guidance material. The purpose of the Property Framework is to facilitate informed decision-making processes and to establish the efficient, effective, sustainable and ethical use of Commonwealth property resources. Other functions of the Branch include administering the Australian Government Property Data Collection (PRODAC), providing property policy advice and guidance relating to the Commonwealth National Lease; and delivering platforms for whole-of-government property management communication including the SES Band 1 and the SES Band 3 Inter-Departmental Committee Meetings and the Senior Property Officers Forum.
