Graduate Recruitment Process
Step 1: Apply online
Applications open on 28 February 2013 and will close on 7 April 2013.
The online application should take you about 20 minutes to complete.There are a series of questions to answer. You will also need to provide a current resume, academic transcript and proof of Australian citizenship.
Step 2: Online exercise
May 2013
If your application is successful you will be asked to complete an online written exercise. This exercise is designed to assess your analytical, comprehension and written skills.

Step 3: Assessment Centres
June/July 2013
Based on your results from the online test, you may be invited to participate in an Assessment Centre. These Assessment Centres are conducted in Canberra. If you are located in another state, Finance will arrange for your flights to Canberra for the day.
This gives you a chance to see where you could be working, get a feel for Canberra and attend a networking lunch for you to meet current Graduates and Executives from across the department. Assessments include:
- Group exercise
- Written exercise
- Interview
Step 4: Offer of employment
July/August 2013
Based on the results from all assessments we then determine who we will offer a position on the Program.
