Index of RM Templates

The following is an index of templates, forms, processes and other materials relevant to the Commonwealth resource management framework, including management of public resources, working with ministers, accounting and financial reporting.


This information can be read in conjunction with the index of resource management guides (RMGs) and the list of numbered RMGs.

Governance and internal controls

  • Model Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs) for accountable authorities of non-corporate Commonwealth entities – entities that already have AAIs may find comparison against the model AAIs to provide useful assurance. Officials who are responsible for developing or updating an entity’s AAIs are encouraged to use the model AAIs as the basis for their instructions.

Template for ministers to inform Parliament

  • Template for ministers Word icon – a form that officials of Commonwealth entities can use to provide information to their responsible minister, and that the minister can, in turn, table in Parliament, in accordance with section 72 of the PGPA Act or section 26 of the PGPA Rule. Property

  • Australian Government Property Data Collection (PRODAC) Manual – to help entities to identify better practices, progressively improve the management and use of office space and inform Whole of Australian Government property policy. PRODAC collects building, lease and cost information relating to office space leased and owned by the Australian Government.
  • Australian Government Office Occupancy Report – sets out the occupational density for entities against the current target of 14 square metres of office space per occupied work point.
