As an integral component of the graduate program, graduates are provided with opportunities for advancement through their graduate year.
A closed merit based graduate promotion round (Graduate Promotion Round - Stage One) is conducted in mid to late August each year to facilitate successful graduates advancing from the APS 3 to APS 4 classification with an effective date of 1 October.
Finance will conduct a further merit selection process (Graduate Promotion Round - Stage Two) for the APS 4 / APS 5 levels in January/February. This process provides further opportunities for promotion of graduates to either level from 1 March.
